AOL Company “C” Store

DBI was hired to redesign AOL‘s “C” store located in Dulles, VA. The goal was to transform their small store that sold snacks and greeting cards into a ‘boutique’ store that could display some of AOL’s branded merchandise for their employees. The 1,200 sf store was designed and constructed in 3 weeks. The team consisted of Elizabeth Blunck, Tracy Tato, Caliber Design and Hitt Contracting.

World Bank Fitness Center

DBI performed test-fits and pricing exercises in March 2009. We were finally awarded the project in July 2010 and is slated to be completed in July 2011. The project is currently in preliminary design development. The 25,000 sf fitness center is located in the Main Complex and consists of two cardio studios, a yoga studio, a spin room, an exercise area, a free weight area and high-end lockers. The team consists of Roseanne Beattie, Jack Bajadek, Jennie Hunt, Maggie Pascoe, Emilie Kyle and Steve Foster.

Interface Media Group

DBI was hired to renovate IMG‘s existing space located on three floors at 1233 20th Street, NW in Washington DC. Space types include general office, edit suites and a green room. The project is currently in Design Development. Robert Cox, Cori Green, Ebong Ukor and GHT are utilizing Revit to complete this 25,000 sf project.

GeoEye

DBI is currently in the construction document phase of this 85,000 sf project located in Sterling, VA. The project includes general office space, a data center, a SCIF, 10 conference rooms and a satellite operations control center. We are targeting LEED CI or Silver. The team consists of Michael Hartman, Elizabeth Blunck, Michael Boyer, Marcy Trepke, Jack Bajadek, Anne Robinson, Stephanie Harvin, Brian Ehardt and CresaPartners.
